Our final case report, “Ocular Adverse Effects Occurring with Mirvetuximab Soravtansine-gynx: A Case Report,” by Kristen P. Lamoreau, OD, and Jae Young You, MD, details the ocular toxicity profile of this antibody-drug conjugate used in the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The report highlights key clinical findings and reinforces the critical role of eye care providers in monitoring and managing patients undergoing this emerging oncologic therapy.
Our Point-Counterpoint this quarter features an engaging overview of artificial intelligence in eye care, authored by Leslie Wilderson, OD, FAAO, Dipl AAO; Danielle Weiler, OD, FAAO, Dipl AAO; and Michael Radoiu, OD, MPH, FAAO, Dipl AAO, on behalf of the American Academy of Optometry Comprehensive Eye Care Section. The piece thoughtfully examines both the promising applications and the important limitations of AI in optometry, covering topics such as diagnostic accuracy, clinical workflow, the patient–doctor relationship, and ethical considerations surrounding accountability and equity.
